Giada Maestra is a London based, self-taught illustrator from Pordenone, Italy.
Finding inspiration in the Everyday, in the Ordinary and in the Unnoticed, she likes to draw people and places encountered along her way, together with simple scenes of daily life, often with irony. Body acceptance is the main topic when she represents women.
Drawing both digitally with Procreate and by hand, she explores different media, dedicating herself also to painting, but privileging pencil and watercolor as essential tools for her work.

Her MA Project, ofthoughtsandpeople, is an intimate journey in North London during the Covid-19 pandemic and a tribute to the Walking Practice.

Giada received her education between Strasbourg, Paris and Venice, where she studied Fashion Design and Multimedia Arts at IUAV University. She recently graduated with an MA in Illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, University of The Arts London, and works as freelancer on private commissions, together with magazines and non-profit organizations.

She is a big collector of stationery, indoor plants and high-quality printing, passionate about Children’s Illustration, Independent Publishing and Dried Flowers.
